Messy faith. Perfect Grace.
I'm wife to Allen and Mom to Lindsey and Lacey. Years ago, I was confronted with all the pain of my past and had the realization that it was impacting not just my life, but my husband and girls. I knew if I continued living out of my wounds, I was not going to be the wife or mom I wanted to be. I knew then that I needed to pursue healing, both for myself and theirs. Through a process of counseling and community, I found healing. I also discovered an ability to tell stories that communicate the power of Jesus to heal the deepest wounds on our soul. My stories opened the door for me to walk alongside women who carry wounds on their soul and show them the way of hope. I'm still growing in my faith and it can be messy, but I've learned that is okay. God's perfect grace is more than enough for me!
Today I not only write stories, but am a trained facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute, as well as a certified mental health coach. I lead small groups and retreats focused on giving language to our pain, and the tools to bring healing. I equip churches and organizations to launch wellness ministries so they can bring these tools to the hurting people in their community. I also travel and speak about how we can move from isolated in our pain to vulnerable and available to Jesus. If you are curious about the various things I mentioned above, please reach out!
